The email
To the parents of Michael David Hayden,
I finally got around to writing this email. Basic summary of what has been going on in the past couple of months, which has been quite the stressful situation.
First off school, I am currently in three classes, which are on Tuesday, and Thursday starting from 10am and lasts till 5pm. Medical biochemistry, organic chemistry and physics 2. By the end of this semester I should be well on my way into the medical science field leaving me with 2-3 more years depending on summer courses. Tutition this year for Oakland has gone up 14% and is going to cost my about $3312. My government loans this year was for $2723, leaving me with a bill for $589, which is a little bit beyond my budget. Last year my bill was paid off by a private loan and left me with $400 on my credit card, which I am still paying off and I am still adding on with payment for books this year. Adding up to about $600 on my Visa.
Around mid July I realized I was losing about $300 per month by my monthly expenses clearly out shadowing my monthly income, which prompted me into making a 6-month budget plan, which can be seen by the link below.

Not only does this help me into making sure I do not over spend on my budget but it helps me save for books and such, as in everything that is not spent is put into my savings account, not the checking account. For awhile my living expenses will still be more then my monthly income purely for the fact that I am living in Birmingham (1930 Hazel, 48009 is my address) until December when I move into a house in Rochester which I will be paying, for a lack of a better word, wholesale (Taxes + utilities, no rent).
My winter semester this year at Oakland will consist of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday classes (that is if I am able to pay off the extra $600 I am going to owe Oakland!). This also means that my hours for working will be greatly reduced, so beginning of 2008 I am going to try and get a second job for weekends, and possibly a 14-16 credit semester.
That’s pretty much the summary. I am moving into Rochester in December and until then watching my spending (ramen for lunch!!)
Love mike
Ps.
Here is a break down of the classes I am taking (all being 4 credits each) and the total bill for Oakland. I am looking into scholarships, most require writing of papers or stories, which are due by December. I am doing as many as I am qualified for, hopefully picking up some money but, with competition, I am doubtful.

Seeing that I already have 91 credits, I am thinking about graduating sooner with a general education degree in biology and going on from there. I have an appointment with an advisor soon.
